It is only fitting that these two men should join together to honor the mentors whose work and sacrifices paved the way for their own rise to the top. They do just that, and more, with Hall of Fame Bluegrass! – a tribute to members of the IBMA Hall of Fame.

This duo have been a constant presence on the cutting edge of acoustic music, and their considerable experience includes extensive earlier work with such powerhouse bands as the Country Gentlemen, The Seldom Scene, and The Tony Rice Unit. It's really a unique sound—not entirely bluegrass, not folk, and not like the old-time brother duets of the 1930s (The Monroe Brothers, Delmore Brothers, etc.), but a captivating, contemporary duo sound that incorporates touches of all of these. They have created a distinctive blend that takes full advantage of Moondi's wonderful singing and Jimmy's skills on several stringed instruments: mandolin, mandola, octave mandolin and guitar.

Featuring 14 songs hand-picked by Chris himself, the CD is mostly drawn from three albums Chris recorded for Rebel between 1997 and 2000 -- No One But You (1997), Follow Your Heart (1998) and Just a Drifter (2000). The project also includes three cuts from his 2009 self-released album, Cloud of Dust, along with three brand new recordings that, like Cloud of Dust, feature his current line-up of the Night Drivers: Ned Luberecki on banjo, Mark Stoffel on mandolin and Jon Weisberger on bass.
