Bluegrass Band Detour Releases "Too Busy To Have The Blues"

DetourWillis, VA -- The tight focused harmonies, precision instrumentals, and creative melodies of Michigan bluegrass band Detour, are about to get a broader listening audience. Detour has released the first single off their upcoming Mountain Fever Records album. The single is titled "Too Blue To Have the Blues," and was co-written by Detour's own Jeff Rose and longtime bluegrass songwriter and radio DJ, Terry Herd. Their sound had taken listeners down a unique bluegrass road for years and this new venture is no different.

Ash Breeze Releases Self-Titled Debut Album

Ash BreezeWillis, VA -- Bluegrass and Americana influenced, North Carolina natives Ash Breeze (formerly known as The Smith Family) release their self-titled debut album on Mountain Fever Records. Second Time AroundWillis, VA) — Acclaimed banjo player and well-known sideman, Jason Davis, is set to release his brand new solo project, Second Time Around, on Mountain Fever Records next Tuesday, July 9th. The first single from the record, “Bootleg John” released to radio in April. The album boasts a solid list of guest players that form its core rhythm section. Guests include Kevin McKinnon on guitar and mandolin, Kameron Keller on bass, Josh Swift on Dobro, and fiddlers Justen Haynes and Ron Stewart who split the bow work. A gathering of some of Davis’ favorite singers in bluegrass are also featured including Greg Luck, Shawn Lane, Steve Gulley, Junior Sisk, Jason and Justin Tomlin, Dwight McCall, Daniel Salyer, Darrel Webb and Eli Johnston.
