Hillbilly Gypsies' Jamie Lynn Buckner Diagnosed with Cancer

Jamie Lynn BucknerJamie Lynn Buckner of the Hillbilly Gypsies announced that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Since her announcement, both the band's website and her own have been receiving good wishes and prayers for her. She will under go surgery today and will know more about her situation after further tests.

Hillbilly Gypsies Announce Evolutionary Band Change

The Hillbilly GypsiesWednesday, January 20th, Trae Buckner of the Hillbilly Gypsies announced a major band shakeup. The band has been together for over a decade playing their own homegrown style of Appalachian old time music, mixed with a hard drivin’ bluegrass sound. The band has announced that three members, Dave Asti, Ty Jaquay and Ryan Cramer have all decided that it is their time to step down and retire from the touring life with the band.

Get Wild and Wooly at the Smoked Country Jam

James Reams & The BarnstormersJames Reams & The Barnstormers, the band that was nominated by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2002 as Emerging Artist of the Year, will be performing at the Smoked Country Jam on Saturday, June 21st along with Danny Paisley & The Southern Grass as well as The Hillbilly Gypsies and many more. This will be a full show, double header with 2 bands: The Hillbilly Gypsies and Remington Ryde. This show is bound to be full of high energy bluegrass music with lots of comedy.
