Deep Roots Mountain Revival Announces Initial Artist Lineup

Deep Roots Mountain RevivalMasontown, WV -- Deep Roots Mountain Revival Festival is proud to announce the 2016 lineup for its inaugural music and arts festival happening September 15-18, 2016. Headliners Greensky Bluegrass, Leftover Salmon and The David Grisman Sextet will be joined by Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, Shooter Jennings with Waymore’s Outlaws, Melvin Seals & JGB, Cabinet, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, The Black Lillies, The Hip Abduction and many more. The festival takes place on the legendary Marvin’s Mountaintop in Masontown, WV, the original site for the All Good Music & Arts Festival. Top-tier bluegrass, jam band, rock and country acts will convene in the picturesque mountains, effectively bringing West Virginia back to the forefront of the festival scene. FreshGrass Announces Initial Lineup Artists for 2015

Punch BrothersNorth Adams, MA -- FreshGrass, Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art’s (MASS MoCA) 3-day bluegrass and roots music festival, announces the first round of bands set to play its annual September festival, with headliner the Punch Brothers, a late-night hoedown by Leftover Salmon, Jerry Douglas presents Earls of Leicester, I’m With Her featuring Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O’Donovan, festival favorite Alison Brown, Peter Rowan, the Lost Bayou Ramblers, Flatt Lonesome, Darol Anger’s Mr. Sun, Rani Arbo & Daisy Mayhem, and 2014 FreshGrass Award winners Twisted Pine and Quiles & Cloud. FreshGrass, to be held on September 18-20, 2015, features bluegrass traditionalists and trailblazers on four stages and throughout every nook and cranny of its 28-building, 16-acre campus.

Performances in Missoula (with guests Hot Buttered Rum), Boise, and Park City (with guests Hot Buttered Rum) precede another pair of two night runs in Colorado in Durango, Telluride. Leftover Salmon will kick off the two night celebration on the 30th and we’ll be ringing in the New Year with 2 sets on New Year’s Eve! Bill Payne of Little Feat will be joining us both nights! Keller Williams will perform with his band “More Than a Little” for a closing set on December 30th and Solo on the 31st, to get the night started. LoS Fan Club tickets went on sale Wednesday August, 20th.

Vail Bluegrass Reveals its Inaugural Lineup

The Vail Summer Bluegrass Series is a free event with the option to purchase tickets for preferred seating. Tickets for preferred seating will go on sale Tuesday, April 1 on the website.

It begins with a two night run at Phil Lesh's famed Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, CA, followed by two nights at the Crystal Bay Club Casino in Nevada, an evening at the Belly Up in Solana Beach, CA and two nights at the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company in Chico, CA. The beginning of April brings us Minnesota for performances at Papa Charlie's (Lutsen, MN) & First Avenue (Minneapolis, MN) as well as Madison, WI at the Majestic Theatre. The tour closes with another double header at the Aggie Theatre in Fort Collins, CO.

Winter WonderGrass 2014Avon, CO -- The second annual WinterWonderGrass music and brew festival is coming back to the Vail Valley on February 21st for three nights of music, hot local foods, brewery talks and so much more. WinterWonderGrass is a unique, boutique outdoor winter music and beer festival highlighting bluegrass and acoustic roots music from around the country plus Colorado’s finest craft breweries with a focus on local and sustainable products.
