Gospel Plowboys Sign with Mountain Fever, Album Due June 10

Gospel PlowboysWillis, VA -- Mountain Fever Records is proud to announce they have signed the all-gospel group, the Gospel Plowboys. The band's debut album for the label, Welcome Home, will be released June 10th. The Gospel Plowboys, based in Salisbury, NC, combines the talents of David Murph (mandolin), John Goodson (banjo), Michael Jenkins (guitar), David Brown (guitar, bass), Andrew Brown (bass, dobro) and Kris Miller (guitar).

Rebel Records Signs Mickey Galyean & Cullen's Bridge to Label

Mickey Galyean & Cullen's BridgeCharlottesville, VA -- Rebel Records is pleased to announce the signing of Mickey Galyean & Cullen's Bridge to its roster. Hailing from the musically rich area of Lowgap, North Carolina, the group plays traditional bluegrass at its finest. The band recently finished recording its debut album for Rebel, My Daddy's Grass, which is due out later this summer.

O'Connor Band, with Fiddler Mark O'Connor, Signs With Rounder

O'Connor BandNashville, TN - Rounder Records and Concord Music Group are pleased to announce the signing of the O'Connor Band. The band, which is already earning praise for their contemporary bluegrass and Americana sound, features Grammy and CMA Award-winning fiddle/violin virtuoso and composer Mark O'Connor, who is renowned for his musical versatility, and who recorded a series of albums - including his debut recording - for the label starting in 1974.

Deer Creek Boys Join Mountain Fever Records

Deer Creek BoysWhile attending SPBGMA in Nashville last week, Mountain Fever Records had the great pleasure of signing the Deer Creek Boys to their roster! This great band formed in 1999 when two brothers and a childhood friend starting picking and writing together in Amherst County, Virginia. But the past few years have seen them inactive with original members Justin Tomlin spending a few years playing guitar for Nothin Fancy, and his brother Jason on bass with Junior Sisk.

The Karl Shiflett & Big Country Show sign with Patuxent Music

Karl Shiflett & Big CountryGroesbeck, TX -- The Karl Shiflett & Big Country Show recently signed a recording contract with Patuxent Music out of Rockville, Maryland. The long established label is owned and operated by Bluegrass musician and sound engineer Tom Mindte. The band is excited about the label and the new recording. "It's a real pleasure to record and work with a top notch professional sound engineer like Tom Mindte. He has a real interest and passion for the music and the musicians and it's evident in every recording he produces."
