Lonesome River Band Headlines Loudoun Bluegrass Festival

Lonesome River BandLeesburg, VA -- Lonesome River Band will headline the 6th Annual Loudoun Bluegrass Festival on May 9, 2015. The event will take place from 10am – 10pm at the Loudoun County 4-H Fairgrounds located at 17558 Dry Mill Road in Leesburg, Virginia. Tickets are available at www.bluegrassloudoun.com. Advance tickets are $20.00 Adults (14 and older) or $30 at the gate. Youth (7-13) tickets are $8 and children 6 and under are free.

The Del McCoury Band Leads 2nd Wave of 2015 FreshGrass Lineup

The Del McCoury BandNorth Adams, MA -- FreshGrass, Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art’s (MASS MoCA) 3-day bluegrass and roots music festival announced the second round of bands set to play its annual September festival. Festival favorites The Del McCoury Band, Indiana alt-country rockers Houndmouth, Malian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Vieux Farka Touré, Boston-based trio The Ballroom Thieves, and acoustic roots band Cat and The Moon join an already-robust lineup, featuring headliner the Punch Brothers, a late-night hoedown by Leftover Salmon, Jerry Douglas presents Earls of Leicester, Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O’Donovan, festival favorite Alison Brown, Peter Rowan, the Lost Bayou Ramblers, Flatt Lonesome, Darol Anger’s Mr. Sun, Rani Arbo & Daisy Mayhem, and 2014 FreshGrass Award winners Twisted Pine and Quiles & Cloud. FreshGrass, to be held on September 18-20, 2015, features bluegrass traditionalists and trailblazers on four stages and throughout every nook and cranny of MASS MoCA’s 28-building, 16-acre campus.

Flatt Lonesome Headline Burnet Bluegrass Fest & Fiddlers Contest

Flatt Lonesome2014 Emerging Artist of the Year Flatt Lonesome will be the featured entertainment at this year's City of Burnet Bluegrass Festival. Named one of the “Five Rising Roots Acts to Watch in 2015” by CMT Edge, Flatt Lonesome made their Texas debut last year at Haley Nelson Park. Also entertaining will be the Sieker Band and Dueling Hearts.
