Loretta Hummel Receives Bluegrass Artist of the Year

Loretta HummelDuring the 2015 CGMA (Country Gospel Music Association) Eastern Division Convention, held August 17, 2015 through August 22, 2015, in Kissimmee, Florida, Loretta Hummel received three silver heart awards, namely: Bluegrass Artist of the Year for Down By the Meadow, which is on her upcoming album This Heart of Mine. Lyricist for My Savior, My King, and Yodeler for My Shy Friend. The words and music of these songs were written and composed by Hummel.

The Roys Capture 4th Consecutive ICM Bluegrass Artist Award

The RoysNashville, TN -- Brother/sister duo The Roys won the Inspirational Country Music's Bluegrass Artist of the Year Award for the fourth consecutive year at last night's 20th Annual ICM Faith, Family & Country™ Awards show. "Truly humbled once again," noted Elaine of the honor. "We thank the Lord Jesus and Mom and Dad," added Lee. Following their acceptance of the award, The Roys delivered a stellar version of the poignant "Mended Wings" from The View, their fourth Rural Rhythm Records' release. The disc hit stores in September, debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 10 Bluegrass Albums chart, and generated a #1 single with "No More Lonely" on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart.
