Singer/Songwriter Brandon Rickman Coming to Western North Carolina and East Tennessee

Brandon RickmanNashville, TN -- In addition to his performances as the lead singer and guitarist with the Lonesome River Band, Brandon Rickman will coming to the area as a solo artist performing at Jack of Hearts Pub in Weaverville, North Carolina and with JD Crowe and the New South in Jonesborough, Tennessee. He appears in Weaverille on February 24th and Jonesborough on February 25th.

New Single Release 'Close The Door Lightly When You Go' by Lonesome River Band

The song was penned by Eric Anderson and includes the a-list talents of Sammy Shelor: (Banjo); Randy Jones (Lead Vocal, Mandolin); Brandon Rickman (Harmony Vocal, Guitar); Mike Hartgrove (Fiddle); Barry Reed (Harmony Vocal, Bass); and produced by Lonesome River Band. The song is now available to radio via and will be released this week on the label's Fresh Cuts & Key Tracks radio CD.

The performance is in celebration of Sammy Shelor's Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass award as recently announced. The Steve Martin Prize is chosen by a who's who list of talents including Steve Martin, Earl Scruggs, Pete Wernick, Tony Trishchka, Bela Fleck and more.

LRB'S Brandon Rickman Announces Fall Singer/Songwriter Tour

Brandon RickmanNashville, TN -- Brandon Rickman announced today that in addition to his performances with the Lonesome River Band, he will also be performing select dates in 2011 and 2012 as a solo artist performing at singer/songwriter shows. His upcoming 3-day Fall Tour in mid-November kicks off in Atlanta, Georgia and wraps up in Asheville, North Carolina. On November 11th, Brandon will be performing with the Lonesome River Band on the TV show Late Night with David Letterman.

Lonesome River Band Receive 6 IBMA Awards Nominations

Lonesome River BandBand members of one of bluegrass music's favorite groups, Lonesome River Band, are celebrating five International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Award nominations just in time for the group's 30th Anniversary next month. Lonesome River Band received a nomination for Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year for "Pretty Little Girl," from their current album Still Learning (Rural Rhythm).
