Van Glynn Joins The Fabulous Bagasse Boyz

The Fabulous Bagasse BoyzLouisana's The Fabulous Bagasse Boyz have announced that Van Glynn will be replacing Anthony Rushing in the band. The band says, "hile you might have thought that we’d eventually fade into the night like a bad dream, we’re back and terrorizing your nightmares again. Just like clowns, nuns and cliffs, we’re just on the edge of your consciousness and ready to dig right into your emotional psyche and keep you wide eyed and nervous at 2:00 AM. Anyway, big news on the Bagasse front. Anthony Rushing finally came to his senses after his reputation was completely ruined and threw in the towel. Between grad school, teaching full time, working part-time and being married, somehow The Boyz didn’t make the cut time-wise. Go figure. Also, there goes our chick magnet. Anyway, we’ll be featuring the amazing fiddle prowess of Van Glynn of Mandeville, LA."

Singularity Record & Shows Come to Cali!

Casey DriessenThe Singularity record is finished! The other night at dinner, I was wishing that I had this record done for my first solo appearances on the west coast. And then it dawned on me - maybe I could! So, I burned the midnight oil, pulled out the remainder of my hair, and ordered up a scant 150 in simple packaging to meet me at the first show. If you or your family or friends live on the west coast, you may be in luck - come to think of it, I'll be the lucky one. For those that are not on the west coast, your time will come. The final'll be finished soon.

"Fiddler Tim Smith & Friends" is Released to Global Radio by MusikAndFilm

Fiddler Tim Smith & FriendsLegendary, iconic, famed are some of the adjectives used to describe Fiddler Tim Smith, but amazing works just as well. Some fiddlers have tone, others speed, others touch, and a few have grace and style. Tim is a true combination of all these attributes. His new album "Fiddler Tim Smith & Friends" has a "Who's-Who" backing musician list, and he wrote most of the songs, a difficult enough thing in the Bluegrass genre, where supposedly everything worth playing has long since been played many times over. But the overall coloring of the album is provided by Tim's fiddle, as it should be.
