Bluegrass Artist Steve Gulley Signs Long-Term Deal with Rural Rhythm

Sam Passamano and Steve GulleyNashville, TN -- Rural Rhythm Records is proud to announce it has signed a long-term recording and production agreement with Steve Gulley. The first album will be a gospel album titled Family,Friends & Fellowship, and is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2014. Guest artists on the album include; Ricky Skaggs, Doyle Lawson, Kenny & Amanda Smith, Joe Mullins, Tim Surrett, Phil Leadbetter, Les Butler, Mark Wheeler, Don Gulley, Debbie Gulley, Brad Gulley and more. Steve says, “I have felt the need to record an all-gospel project for a long time now. I have always looked at my music as a ministry and an extension of my faith so I’m so excited to finally have the chance to see this come to fruition in the making of Family,Friends & Fellowship.

Phil LeadbetterThere are people who are quick to volunteer their help in a time of need. A person who is always willing to help a friend or even a stranger who is in need of help. One of these people is bluegrass/country musician Phil Leadbetter, he has been helping folks throughout his life as in his earlier years he was a trained head injury rehabilitation nurse. Phil,who left the nursing field and followed his life long dream to become a musician, has backed such artists as the late Grandpa Jones and Vern Gosdin. Uncle Phil, as he is affectionately known, has also been a member of J.D. Crowe & The New South, Wildfire and the group, Grasstowne and who of late was performing with The Whites,an American country music group.

New Eats, New Treats - Bluegrass Music at Legends 2

Dale Ann BradleyHarlan, KY -- Legends 2, in Pennington Gap, Virginia opened last October and has been serving home cooked meals that have made this one of the most popular new restaurants in the area. The restaurant is now hosting live music including the upcoming February 25, 2012 concert with Dale Ann Bradley and Steve Gulley beginning at 8:00 pm. Legends 2 is owned and operated by Chastity Dean and her husband, Jamie Dean, band member of the hot new group Cumberland River who will also be performing that evening. Legends 2 is located at 8426 US Highway 421 in Pennington Gap, VA. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the door.

Grasstowne Changes Band and Steve Gulley Joins Dale Ann Bradley

GrasstowneWith Steve Gulley making the jump to Dale Ann Bradley's band, Alan Bibey now reigns as the sole founding partner with Grasstowne. He, Gulley and Phil Leadbetter formed the group in 2006 after they each made the decision to leave their respective performing vehicles. Phil left in 2010 to pursue other interests, and is now focused on beating cancer.

For Bradley, a 3-time Bluegrass Female Vocalist of the Year, it is a poignant and earnest prayer of a song for all of the loved ones and soldiers of any war, both past and present, inspired by a childhood memory tied to the Vietnam War. The video for the song, from her new album Somewhere South of Crazy, began as a collaboration with military families in Bradley's Kentucky backyard at the Fort Campbell Base, and soon grew to include The Army Wives Network, Go Army Wives, and more.
