Dale Ann Bradley Receives Her First Grammy Nomination

Pocket Full of KeysDale Ann Bradley was drinking her first cup of coffee on Monday when she heard her cell phone beeping with incoming messages. Upon opening the first one, she was thrilled to find that she was nominated for a Grammy® in the Bluegrass Album of the Year category for her album Pocket Full of Keys. It is her first for Pinecastle since returning to the label earlier this year.

58 Grammy Nominations Announced

58th Grammy Bluegrass Album NomineesThe Recording Academy® announced nominations for the 58th Annual GRAMMYAwards® in all 83 categories this morning. Reflecting a diverse blend of talented music makers, this year's nominees were selected from more than 21,000 submissions entered. As the only peer-based music award, the GRAMMY Awards are voted on by The Academy's membership body of creators across all disciplines of music, including recording artists, songwriters, producers, and engineers. Final-round GRAMMY® ballots will be mailed Dec. 16 and the preeminent award for excellence in music will be presented Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, live from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and broadcast on the CBS Television Network from 8 – 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

Sister Sadie Signs with Pinecastle Records

The all female band is currently working on an album to be released in 2016 comprised of a mix of member-written originals and other songs to be determined. Sister Sadie is a straight ahead bluegrass band comprised of five good friends born out of what was originally supposed to be a one time jam at The Station Inn in Nashville, TN. Shortly after that sold out show, the band began getting calls for gigs and the girls decided to officially form Sister Sadie. They decided that each member would remain in their own bands and from time to time get together for special events to perform. The name, Sister Sadie, was inspired by a Tony Rice song, "Little Sadie," and the fact that the ladies feel as though they are sisters.

Dale Ann Bradley Plays WSM Radio's "Station Inn Sessions" Sept. 24

Dale Ann BradleyDale Ann Bradley, 2015 IBMA nominee for Female Vocalist of the Year, will perform on WSM Radio’s live “Station Inn Sessions” on September 24. Bradley will join WSM deejay and the show’s host, Mike Terry, in talking about her latest album, “Pocket Full of Keys,” as well as perform songs from the album and other favorites.

Dale Ann Bradley's “Pocket Full of Keys” Tops Roots Music Report Chart

Pocket Full of KeysDale Ann Bradley’s album, “Pocket Full of Keys,” tops Roots Music Report’s Bluegrass Chart the week of August 6. It is her first album with Pinecastle Records after re-joining the label last year. Bradley is also the cover artist in this month’s “Bluegrass Unlimited” magazine The story, written by Bill Conger, includes the singer talking about who inspired her to produce this album and writing and choosing songs for the CD. She also discusses her love for all genres of music, and the fact that she grew up in a church that didn’t allow music. That didn’t deter the Female Vocalist of the Year (for both the international Bluegrass Music Association and Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music for America) from loving music and pursuing it as a career!

Legendary Dale Ann Bradley to Play Carroll County High School

Dale Ann BradleyHillsville, VA -- Bluegrass singer-songwriter Dale Ann Bradley will play Carroll County High School in Hillsville, Virginia on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 7 p.m. as part of the 2015 Mountains of Music Homecoming. She will be joined by Willard Gayheart and Friends. Dale Ann Bradley embarked on her musical journey in the coalfields of southeast Kentucky. She joined the all-female bluegrass band The New Coon Creek Girls and played with them until 1997. Her first solo release propelled her onto the Billboard Charts and into national (and international) attention. Since then, she has played all over the world and earned the IMBA Female Vocalist of the Year award an impressive five times. Her newest recording “Pocket Full of Keys” will be released in June of 2015.

SteelDrivers to Perform on Song of the Mountains

Bluegrass Artist Steve Gulley Signs Long-Term Deal with Rural Rhythm
