Monroeville Hosts AcoustiCana Showcase for The Foundation for Bluegrass Music

MonroevilleMonroeville is proud to be hosting a one day AcoustiCana showcase on Thursday, September 27th, as well as a free benefit for The Foundation For Bluegrass Music at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville of Nashville, Tennessee. This showcase will feature some of acoustic music’s fastest rising stars and brightest talents.

Stetson and Cia - Wedding and New Single

Stetson and Cia AdkissonStetson Adkisson and Cia Cherryholmes wish to announce their marriage. On May 20, 2012, in an intimate setting with close friends and family present, Stetson and Cia officially became husband and wife. The wedding was officiated by the bride's grandfather, the Rev. Gene Cherryholmes, and and the groom's father, the Rev. Grant Adkisson. A family reception was held at the home of Jere and Sandy Cherryholmes.

Stetson & CiaFollowing the disbanding announcement of Cherryholmes, the 5 time GRAMMY nominated International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Entertainers of the Year, the acoustic music industry has been a wheel as to what the 4 younger members would do next. While both of the young men have laid their paths and made announcements as to what their futures hold – with BJ now playing with current IBMA entertainers of the year, Dailey and Vincent, and Skip forming the Skip Cherryholmes Quintet – the ladies have made some indications, without yet saying exactly what their futures hold.

B.J. and Skip Cherryholmes are the Cherryholmes Brothers Band

Cherryholmes Brothers Skip and B.J.So it IS official- For anyone that is curious- B.J. and Skip Cherryholmes have formed their own band and will be performing at the James Garner Center in Troy, North Carolina January 21st 2010. While this is quite a ways off, the exciting part is that the Cherryholmes brothers will be carrying the family torch and continuing the music. Their sister Cia is still performing also.
