Song Of The Mountains Needs Your Help

Song of the MountainsSongs of the Mountain (SOTM) is still struggling tremendously to keep funded and on the air on public television. The response to funding pleas up to this point for help with donations has been very minimal. From everywhere people say how much they look forward to seeing SOTM on television each week. There is a dire need for financial support and even a small donation would add up and help if enough fans in bluegrass and old time music step up and help - this would be the salvation to the funding problems.

Song of the Mountains to Feature the Close Kin Project

Close KinMountain Roads Recordings is extremely excited to announce the highly acclaimed recorded project, Close Kin, A Reunion of Bluegrass & Old-Time Music, will be featured in a live performance by the artists for a television taping of the highly popular PBS Television Series, Song of the Mountains. Taping of the show will be 7:00 pm March 3, 2012 at the historic Lincoln Theater in Marion, Virginia. Along with the performance of the Close Kin project, guests will also be able to enjoy the music of Rodney Dillard, from the original Dillard Family (The Darlings from the Andy Griffith show) and Blue Ridge Tradition.

Having been on the bluegrass music circuit for several years now this husband and wife team have a wonderful band featuring traditional and contemporary bluegrass sounds.

Blue Highway who is and has been a top notch touring bluegrass band for over 15 years will be making their second appearance on this nationally syndicated public television program which is now taping season 7 of the long running concert series.
