The Bluegrass Ramble Showcase is the remiere opportunity to introduce talent and new music at IBMA’s annual World of Bluegrass conference comes in the form of “official” showcase performances which help the music industry assembled discover emerging new bands, as well as established bands with new music or new personnel.

Wildfire to Showcase at IBMA with New Member Chris Davis

Chris DavisThe Bluegrass Music group, Wildfire commented this month "master musician Chris Davis has been a friend for many years. Now, we are honored to call him a band mate!" Chris has joined the band and is expected to be peforming with the group at the World of Bluegrass artist showcases later this year. Wildfire has been selected for the showcase program. Wildfire is a bluegrass band with smokin' hot instrumentals and soul meltin' vocals. Chris will certainly contribute with his solid artistry.

To be eligible, the bluegrass music recording must have been released between April 1, 2012 and March 31, 2013. As a result of the initial announcement, artists, producers, labels and others are making their respective projects known to the bluegrass music community with emphasis on the voting members of the IBMA. IBMA Artist Showcase Application Deadline is February 15

IBMA Showcase ArtistsNashville, TN -- /IBMA/ Up to 50 showcase artists will be invited for the International Bluegrass Music Associations's (IBMA) World of Bluegrass 2013, depending on the number of applicants and the qualifications of groups that apply. Each official showcase act will perform twice, and possibly three times during World of Bluegrass Week in some combination of following areas: the Raleigh Convention Center, evening showcase rooms at the Marriott or Sheraton hotels, evening showcases at six in-town venues, or as a part of the weekend street fair. There will also be opportunities for merchandise sales and, potentially, a share in showcase-generated revenues after off-site venue expenses are covered.
