Four Music Veterans Announce Launch of Union House Records

Union House RecordsHickory, NC -- Mike Bentley, Jeff Brown, Shannon Slaughter, and Dale Felts are proud to announce the formation of a new record label, Union House Records focusing on bluegrass and acoustic music releases. The label will kick off with a soon to be released new single by Mike Bentley & Cumberland Gap Connection with the full album hitting stores later this year followed by a new album by Jeff Brown and Still Lonesome.

Jeff Brown-Kentucky Colonel HonorsJeff Brown & Still Lonesome’s very own Jeff Brown was recognized and honored for his long standing contributions on Saturday. Jeffrey was commissioned as an honorary Kentucky Colonel by Governor Steven L. Beshear. The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels does not appoint or commission Kentucky Colonels; that can only be done by the sitting Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The name “Kentucky Colonel” has become synonymous with strength of character, leadership and dedication to the welfare of others.

Jeff Brown & Still Lonesome Play Traditional Bluegrass at Carter Fold

Jeff Brown & Still LonesomeHiltons, VA -- As a member of Larry Sparks and the Lonesome Ramblers, Jeff Brown has performed on many famous stages such as the Grand Ole Opry, Austin City Limits, the Ryman Auditorium, and Song of the Mountains – just to name a few. Jeff also toured with the Charlie Sizemore Band and has done fill in duties with Blue Highway, Rhonda Vincent, Dr. Ralph Stanley, and many more. The Still Lonesome Band is made up of Austin Brown, Noah Brown, Meredith Goins, Josh Blankenship, and Josh Underwood. Saturday, March 9th, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. the Carter Family Fold in Hiltons, Virginia, will present a concert by Jeff Brown and Still Lonesome. Admission to the concert is $8 for adults, $1 for children 6 to11, under age 6 free.
