IBMA Announces Wide Open Bluegrass Main Stage Performance Schedule

Soggy Bottom BoysNashville, TN -- The International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) has released the performance schedule for PNC presents Wide Open Bluegrass, which takes place Sept. 30-Oct. 1 in Raleigh, North Carolina at the Red Hat Amphitheater. Each 11-hour day of live performances features a powerhouse line-up of artists – including IBMA Hall of Famers – playing a wide range of bluegrass styles, from traditional to progressive.

IBMA Announces More Performers for Wide Open Bluegrass

Ricky SkaggsNashville, TN -- Eleven-time IBMA award winner Ricky Skaggs and his band Kentucky Thunder have been added to the Friday night lineup of the PNC presents Wide Open Bluegrass Festival, Friday, September 30. Additionally, Alice Gerrard will join previously announced Laurie Lewis & The Right Hands as a special guest Friday night and Symphony of the Mountains joins previously announced Kruger Brothers on Saturday, October 1. All performances take place at the Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh, North Carolina. The festival is part of IBMA’s World of Bluegrass events, which begin at the Raleigh Convention Center Tuesday, September 27.

Full Wide Open Bluegrass Free StreetFest Schedule Released

IBMA World of Bluegrass 2015Nashville, TN -- The full schedule of artists and performances for Wide Open Bluegrass StreetFest, the free street festival portion of Wide Open Bluegrass, has just been announced. The roster of artists performing at Wide Open Bluegrass StreetFest, held October 2 and 3 in Raleigh, North Carolina, includes a broad mix of local, national and international bluegrass talent. Wide Open Bluegrass, presented by PNC, is part of the International Bluegrass Music Association’s five-day World of Bluegrass event in Raleigh, North Carolina, September 29-October 3. The PNC-presented free Wide Open Bluegrass StreetFest, held in downtown Raleigh along Fayetteville Street, will feature more than 80 bands, five music stages, a dance tent, vendors and concessions.

One of the highlights of the press conference was the announcement that Alison Krauss & Union Station Featuring Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush Band, Jerry Douglas Presents Earls of Leicester, The Gibson Brothers, Blue Highway, and O’Connor Family Band will round out the list of performers at Red Hat Amphitheater during Wide Open Bluegrass, the weekend festival that takes place as part of the World of Bluegrass event.

Reserved Seating Sold Out for Oct 4 Wide Open Bluegrass

Wide Open Bluegrass 2014Nashville, TN -- Reserved tickets are sold out for the Saturday, October 4 ticketed portion of the upcoming two-day Wide Open Bluegrass festival, and less than 70 reserved tickets remain for Friday, October 3. General admission tickets are still available for both October 3 (approximately 1600) and October 4 (approximately 1300), but are expected to sell out in advance of the weekend, like last year.

IBMA World of Bluegrass Just Over A Month Away

World of Bluegrass 2013Nashville, TN -- World of Bluegrass week is the annual homecoming for the bluegrass music community, taking place September 24-28, 2013 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
