International Bluegrass Music Museum Fall Concert Lineup

The International Bluegrass Music MuseumOwensboro, KY -- The International Bluegrass Music Museum has annouced their fall benefit concert schedule. Money raised from this concert series help the museum continue our efforts to preserve and honor the legacy of bluegrass music including music educational programs, general museum operating expenses, the Video Oral History Project (VOHP) and artifact collection efforts. Season passes available for $104 beginning Wednesday August 24 at 10 am CST; passes include one ticket to each show in the series. If series tickets do not sell out, individual show tickets will be available within the coming weeks.

Wood & Wire Releases Follow-Up Album "The Coast" Feb. 3

 The CoastAustin, TX -- Building on its celebrated self-titled debut album, Austin-based acoustic band Wood & Wire is set to unveil a follow-up release, The Coast, on February 3, 2015. The Coast, a coming-of-age collection of original songs with a coastal theme, Wood & Wire worked again with Grammy-nominated engineer and producer, Erick Jaskowiak. From J Studios in Nashville, the fitting pair came together to produce a fine album featuring mature songwriting, skilled arrangements, and memorable song forms.

Wood & Wire is one of the most promising new bands on Austin’s bluegrass and acoustic music scene. Mixing in elements of Americana and swing, its healthy dose of original music and traditional bluegrass tunes keep audiences riveted. The three-man band keeps people on their toes, too, with a cappella ballads, funky acoustic jams and rippin’ fast instrumentals. If you’re lucky, you’ll even catch them on a night when they have a banjo player.
