New "Fiddle/Sticks" Video: Casey Driessen and Futureman

Casey Driessen and FuturemanSan Francisco, CA -- Casey Driessen announces the second video from Fiddle/Sticks featuring Roy “Futureman” Wooten, the follow-up to the premiere session with country music drummer Kenny Malone. Fiddle/Sticks is a collaborative exploration of rhythm which pairs GRAMMY nominated fiddler Casey Driessen – the leading voice in percussive fiddle/violin technique (AKA The Chop) – with a list of the landmark drummers and percussionists of our time. Cutting across all genres and traditions, the project documents these rhythmic explorations through recordings, videos, photos and journals.

Singularity Record & Shows Come to Cali!

Casey DriessenThe Singularity record is finished! The other night at dinner, I was wishing that I had this record done for my first solo appearances on the west coast. And then it dawned on me - maybe I could! So, I burned the midnight oil, pulled out the remainder of my hair, and ordered up a scant 150 in simple packaging to meet me at the first show. If you or your family or friends live on the west coast, you may be in luck - come to think of it, I'll be the lucky one. For those that are not on the west coast, your time will come. The final'll be finished soon.

First Casey Driessen Fiddle/Sticks Video and Track Now Online

Casey Driessen and Kenny MaloneFiddler Casey Driessen just announced "that the first video and tune from my Fiddle/Sticks project are now viewable and listenable! Back in June, Nashville session legend Kenny Malone and I met for two days at Zac Brown's new Southern Ground Studio in Nashville, TN. We came partially prepared with melodic pieces, a whole bunch of toys, and our vibe open to collaboration and experimentation. I'd love to be long-winded about this, but I'd rather you enjoy the video below.
