Nu-Blu: Giving Back in a Big Way

Nu-BluWith a jam packed tour schedule that keeps them on the road over 200 days each year, Nu-Blu still takes time to give back and use their talents to further the music they love. Working with several partners, including Peterson Tuners, Saga Instruments, Daddario Strings, and The Foundation for Bluegrass Music, they are taking bluegrass music into the schools everywhere they can... and it's not just introducing kids to the music!

NewTown at Kentucky Bluegrass Music Kick-Off

NewTownKentucky’s own NewTown will perform numerous times during the upcoming Kentucky Bluegrass Music Kick-Off along with hosting a Bluegrass in the Schools Program and conducting workshops. The event takes place January 27 and 28 at the Marion County High School in Lebanon, KY.

Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike Present Bluegrass in the Schools

Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike Schools ProgramTeachers for a Day Valerie Smith and Liberty Pike visited the schools in Winchester, TN on October 5th to teach about the history of Bluegrass music. She was doing this program, sponsored by the South Jackson Civic Center, to introduce bluegrass music to the students. Award winning vocalist, Valerie is a lifetime member of the International Bluegrass Music Museum.
