MerleFest Lineup Features IBMA Award-Winning Artists

Steep Canyon RangersWilkesboro, NC -- MerleFest, presented by Lowe’s and slated for April 24-27, 2014, introduced a sneak peek to its lineup at International Bluegrass Music Association’s (IBMA) World of Bluegrass in Raleigh, and many of the artists on the sneak peek lineup brought home IBMA awards. MerleFest was a sponsor for the North Carolina Bluegrass Pavilion at this year's World of Bluegrass. MerleFest, a four-day event that is an annual homecoming of musicians and music fans, will once again take place on the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.

Virginia’s Musical Heritage Spread Over 4 Day Festival Oct 3rd-6th

Fall Fest at The Hermitage Set for October 5-6

Fall Fest 2013Nashville, TN -- The Hermitage, Home of President Andrew Jackson, will host “Fall Fest at The Hermitage” on October 5-6, 2013 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. “We are excited to resurrect an exciting community event that was held some 20 years ago,” said Co-chair of “Fall Fest at The Hermitage”, Phil Ponder. “The object of the festival is to involve the entire community in a truly varied blend of entertainment, art and food experiences against the backdrop of President Jackson’s beloved home.”

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Full Lineup Announced

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Lucky 13It's the Lucky 13 edition of the bluegrass super-festival, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. This 13th year of the free festival is a great tribute to Warren Hellman who passed away two years ago. Hellman presented the festival to San Francisco as a gift of thanks to the community and as a way of giving back. This year's grand event will take place October 4, 5, & 6, 2013. As was done last year, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass did a series of medley contests as a method for pre-announcing the performers for this years event. The medleys are over and the full list of performers has been announced.

2013 Albert Hash Memorial Festival Saturday

Albert Nash Memorial FestivalMouth of Wilson, VA -- The 2013 Albert Hash Memorial Festival will be held Saturday, Aug. 31 at Grayson Highlands State Park in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. The festival honors beloved fiddler and fiddle-maker Albert L. Hash. Hash started the old time music program at Mt. Rogers School and gave lessons there. His hard work and dedication to the school and his passion for music made an impact on his students and the community that still continues today. The festival hopes to preserve and promote traditional mountain music, dance, crafts and instrument making, while honoring Albert Hash and giving back to the community through music.
