Birthplace of Country Music Museum Receives Preservation Grant

Birthplace of Country Music MuseumBristol, TN/VA -- The Birthplace of Country Music Museum has received a $6,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities Preservation Assistance Grant. The grant will support a preservation needs assessment by preservation professionals from the Northeast Document Conservation Center.

Country Music Hall of Fame & MuseumNashville, TN -- The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum has received a $280,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, museum officials announced today. The grant will fund the digitization of rare and fragile components of the museum's collection. The grant's title is Preservation and Access: Digitizing Rare and Fragile Components of the Country Music.

National Endowment for the Humanities America's Music Grant to Illinois Libraries

National Endowment for the HumanitiesThe Bettendorf, Davenport, Moline, and Rock Island, Illinois public libraries have been awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities grant to present the program America's Music: A Film History of Our Popular Music from Blues to Bluegrass to Broadway. As one of 50 grant recipients nationwide, these four libraries will feature public programs focusing on 20th century music genres that are uniquely American and how they are ingrained in our nation's history and culture.
