The 31st Annual Musicians Against Childhood Cancer (MACC) Bluegrass Classic and Music Festival at Hoover Y-Park, Columbus, Ohio takes place July 22 - 25, 2015. Proceeds from this annual festival benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Since the year 2000, MACC and you have donated $809,690.00 to St. Jude and the Y.M.C.A., helping children around the world. This year will be the 16th Year for Musicians Against Childhood Cancer.

Nashville, TN -- Russell Moore has been awarded the Male Vocalist of the Year (Contemporary) Award by the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America (SPBGMA) during a ceremony that took place Sunday, February 8th. Moore and his band, IIIrd Tyme Out, performed on Friday evening as part of the SPBGMA National Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, but had to leave for shows in Kentucky and Ohio, keeping him from attending the awards program in person.

Last year, Blake Johnson became seriously ill with a blood disease that landed him in the hospital for an extended stay of 8 weeks in Duke University Hospital. This forced him to be off the road and the band continued with a replacement. The band is happy to report that Blake is well and back performing in his role. Russell Moore wrote, "We are so thankful to have Blake Johnson back on the road with us! He's doing wonderful, recovering well, and singing and playing better than ever! We already performed our first show of the new year at a place that is very dear to our hearts, Galax, VA."

It's amazing to realize that our touring for 2014 is almost at an end and that Thanksgiving, Christmas and a new year are just around the corner! We're excited about our upcoming performances in Myrtle Beach, SC and Raleigh, NC on the 27th & 28th before taking a rest in December for some anticipated family time during the holidays.
