Band Changes for American Drive, Auditions Open

American Drive at the BirchmereThe end of year band member changes have commenced and this time around American Drive will also be participating. Today comes the announcement that two of their members, guitarist Rickey Wasson and banjo picker Josh Hymer have departed the group. As you may recall, this band was formed when JD Crowe's former New South members continued on under a new name after JD retired from a full time performance slate.

Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out Band Update

My Big Chance TomorrowRussell Moore gives us another update on him and his band, IIIrd Tyme Out. He starts off with the news..."Hello everybody! I have more 'news' that I'd like to share with you. In an effort to capitalize on a songwriting and solo CD push, Edgar Loudermilk will be exiting the group at the end of this year's touring season. Over the last few years especially, Edgar has spent many hours honing and crafting his songwriting skills and he now feels it's time to bring his work and, also, lead vocal abilities, to the 'front of the stage' and into higher exposure than what his position in Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out will allow.

The Grascals Announce New Fiddler, Adam Haynes

Yesterday, the super bluegrass music group, The Grascals, announced their new fiddler on Facebook, "Well, we thought we'd have to take more time to find the right fit, but when it's right it's right! We're pleased to announce that fiddler, Adam Haynes is the newest Grascal! We are so happy to have Adam in the band and look forward to all of you being able to hear him play.

Bluegrass Artist Steve Gulley Signs Long-Term Deal with Rural Rhythm

Between grad school, teaching full time, working part-time and being married, somehow The Boyz didn’t make the cut time-wise. Go figure. Also, there goes our chick magnet. Darrell Webb Band Joins Mountain Fever Records Roster

Randy Barnes Joins Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers

Randy BarnesXenia, OH -- The International Bluegrass Music Association's (IBMA) reigning Emerging Artist of Year, Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers will be making their encore appearance in Nashville, TN when they visit two historic music landmarks on Saturday, September 7th — the Grand Ole Opry and the Station Inn. Making his first appearance with the band will be their newest addition to the band, bass player Randy Barnes.
