Feller & Hill Announce New Band Lineup

Bluegrass BuckaroosNashville, TN -- Feller and Hill and the Bluegrass Buckaroos adjusted their band lineup recently. Three new artists have taken up their positions with Feller and Hill. The band has announced that Glen Inman (aka,Cookie) on bass, Steve Day on fiddle and Mark Poe on guitar have recently joined the Bluegrass Buckaroos lineup. Day will continue working with Ronnie Reno also. The new members will begin working on the next Feller and Hill project in their Buckaroo Studios. If you like traditional bluegrass and classic country music, you’ll love Feller and Hill and the Bluegrass Buckaroos.

Joey Jones Leaves Cumberland River Bluegrass Band

Joey JonesCumberland River would like to announce that Joey Jones is stepping down from the band. Joey is stepping down from touring with the band to work full time with Rock House Entertainment.

Compass Records Signs Bluegrass Band The Bankesters

The BankestersNashville, TN -- Compass Records is excited to announce that The Bankesters have joined its roster of bluegrass artists. Phil and Dorene Bankester and their three daughters and son-in-law are known for some of the finest harmony singing in bluegrass music. They are currently at work gathering material for a new album to be produced by Alison Brown and tentatively slated for a fall 2013 release. In the meantime, Compass will be re-releasing the band’s latest album Looking Forward on May 28th for international distribution.

Mark Newton and Steve Thomas Sign with Pinecastle Records

RebornColumbus, NC -- Pinecastle Records is proud to announce that it has signed Mark Newton and Steve Thomas to its roster. Their debut album is titled Reborn and will be released on April 9, 2013. With the two banded together, the "sideman" becomes a "frontman," and the "frontman" becomes a "partner." Becky Buller Joins Sweethearts of Bluegrass Darin and Brooke Aldridge

Czech Republic's G-runs 'n Roses Prepares for 2013 with New Line-up

G-runs 'n RosesG-runs 'n Roses tested the chemistry this year with their new line-up and the mix is ready for the 2013 season. The bluegrass music group from Europe is also working on a new CD due in April. The new project will include at least six original songs. Along with the new album, the band will offer their first video clip and a new website.

Marty Atkinson and Katy Boyd Release Their Debut CD, “Once in a Bluegrass Moon”

Onece in a Bluegrass MoonMenlo Park, CA -- San Francisco Bay Area-based singer/songwriters Marty Atkinson and Katy Boyd have joined forces to form Blue Cactus Choir and will release their debut album, Once in a Bluegrass Moon, January 15 on Porgy Records. Beautifully recorded by Thom Jutz (Nanci Griffith) at his studio in Nashville, the new CD was produced by Jutz, Atkinson and Boyd and features 21 original songs that focus on relationships, as well as funny, insightful stories and some rough tales of the road, all accented with luxurious vocal harmonies that recall Crosby, Stills & Nash and Fleetwood Mac. Backing the duo is a cadre of Nashville A-list players including Justin Moses (banjo, mandolin, fiddle) and Mark Fein (bass), both of Ricky Skaggs’ band; as well as Fats Kaplin (steel guitar), Gary Smith (piano), Lynn Williams and Steve Brewster (drums) and Thomm Jutz (guitars, keyboards).

The Churchmen Welcome Carroll Arnn to the Band

The ChurchmenBluegrass and gospel music group The Churchmen want to welcome a great friend to the line-up of the band - Carroll Arnn. The band says, "Carroll has been a close associate to the band for many years and it is great to have him on stage with us after all of this time." Carroll first contributed to the band in the 1990's when he penned several songs that The Churchmen recorded. "The King is on His Throne", "The Tie that Binds", and "Sailing with The Savior" are Carroll Arnn originals that were recorded on Churchmen CD's.
