Russell County Performers to be Featured at Heartwood

Jeff Brown and the Still Lonesome BandThe Crooked Road: Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail proudly presents a Crooked Road Youth Music Series concert on Thursday, August 9th at 6:00 p.m. at Heartwood: Southwest Virginia’s Artisan Gateway. The concert will feature Jeff Brown & Still Lonesome.

Grammy Nominees Jeff and Sheri Easter to Appear on the Grand Ole Opry

Jeff & Sheri EasterTwo-time GRAMMY-nominated and six-time Dove Award-winning artists Jeff and Sheri Easter are scheduled to appear on the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday, August 4 for two shows at 7 and 9:30 p.m. These gospel music family group mainstays will be premiering songs from their upcoming release Eyes Wide Open (Spring Hill Music) which will hit streets on September 18. They will be performing with other artists, including Carrie Underwood, Little Jimmy Dickens, Jeannie Seely, Jim Ed Brown, Jean Shepherd, Bill Anderson and many others.

Bill Knowlton Hosts his 40th Bluegrass Ramble Picnic August 5th

Bill KnowltonBill Knowlton's 40th annual "Bluegrass Ramble Picnic" takes place on Sunday, August 5th as usual at Dwyer Memorial Park, the home of the Cortland Repertory Theater, in Little York NY. Appearing for the first time will be Dyerswitch, known for decades of great bluegrass music in New York's Capitol District and, The Easy Ramblers, winners of the Syracuse Area Music Award (SAMMY) as best country group! Slewfoot is another bluegrass group with top shelf Southern Tier pickers. As always, this should be a great show!

Trey Hensley Brings His Drivin' Force to Carter Fold Aug. 11

After picking up a guitar at the age of ten, he quickly took the bluegrass world by storm – even performing on the Grand Ole Opry when he was eleven. Three years ago, the now 19-year old, seasoned rtist followed his heart and interests into the world of country music.
