The Roys Performed at Mitt Romney Victory Ralley in Painesville, OH

The award winning bluegrass music duo said that they were "Thrilled." The duo's last political performance was for President George W. Bush at Andrews Air Force Base on the day he left office.

Celebrate New Year's Eve at the Ryman with Old Crow Medicine Show

Old Crow Medicine Show New Years at the RymanNashville’s own Old Crow Medicine Show will once again play the historic Ryman Auditorium, this time to ring in 2013. This is the third year that Old Crow has celebrated the New Year on the Ryman stage, in the past bringing the audience to their feet with such hits as “Wagon Wheel” and “Caroline.” After the first hsow was over, fans immediately began asking to make it an annual event, and they’re finally back! Singer and fiddle player, Ketch Secor, has said: “Playing the Ryman is like coming home. Having the chance to play that historic stage is always a humbling and inspiring experience.” Old Crow released their newest album, “Carry Me Back,” on July 17th of this year. Pokey LaFarge & The South City Three will open the show.

The Grayson Highlands Band Brings Traditional Music to Carter Fold

Grayson Highlands BandThe Grayson Highlands Band, from the Jefferson, North Carolina area, plays a variety of old time music, ranging from rousing fiddle tunes to traditional songs and ballads. They are regulars at the Christmas in July Festival, the Albert Hash Festival, the Rugby Fall Festival, the Greater Lansing Area Festival, and the Wayne Henderson Festival. They have also been the guest band on the Gary Poe Live radio show several times, and have won numerous awards at regional fiddlers’ conventions. Saturday, September 22, 2012, at 7:30 p.m., the Carter Family Fold in Hiltons, Virginia, will present a concert of old time music by the Grayson Highlands Band. Admission to the concert is $8 for adults, $1 for children 6 to 11, under age 6 free.

FreshGrass Bluegrass Festival to turn Museum into Bluegrass Amusement Park
