Dave Adkins Heads to Nashville with New Album

ROMP Fest Announces Final Lineup Additions

ROMP Fest 2016Owensboro, KY -- ROMP Festival has announced the final artist additions to the 2016 lineup including three Grammy award-winning artists, Old Crow Medicine Show, Marty Stuart and Lee Ann Womack. Now in it's 13th year, the Bluegrass roots and branches festival will be held June 22-25, 2016, at Owensboro's Yellow Creek Park.

Marathon Jam - A National Day of Service for Musicians, Feb 27

Marathon Jam 2016The Marathon Jam is a twelve hour musical event founded in Chapel Hill, NC, that raises money to help the families of injured Soldiers and First Responders. In eight years, The Marathon Jam has raised over $100,000 for the Ft. Bragg Fisher House and Marathon Jams in ten other states have raised over one half Million Dollars for Fisher Houses around the country.

Special Bluegrass Concert with Adam McPeak & Mountain Thunder

Adam McPeak & Mountain ThunderHiltons, VA -- Saturday, February 27th, 2016, the Carter Family Fold in Hiltons, Virginia, will present a special bluegrass concert by Adam McPeak & Mountain Thunder. Adam McPeak, 17-year old mandolin player, has headed up his own band since the age of 13, in 2009. He didn’t have to look beyond the blue ridge mountains of home for the sound he was searching for - the rich blend of harmonies from his dad, Mike McPeak. Steve Chrisley lends his deep rich baritone and picking on the five string banjo. Lindsey Jackson will be playing guitar and helping out on vocals. David Chrisley holds them all together on the bass fiddle.

Jonah Riddle and Carolina Express at Carter Fold Saturday

Jonah Riddle and Carolina ExpressHiltons, VA -- Saturday, February 20th, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. the Carter Family Fold in Hiltons, Virginia, will present a concert of bluegrass music by Jonah Riddle and Carolina Express. Carolina Express was formed by brothers Jonah and Grayson Riddle. Jonah is 16, and Grayson is 11. Growing up in the mountains of western North Carolina, Jonah has been playing the banjo for 4 and ½ years now. From the first time he picked up the instrument, he fell in love. He started out playing at church three times a week. Because he enjoys bluegrass and gospel music so much, he decided to start his own band – Jonah Riddle & Carolina Express. Jonah’s brother, Grayson, plays guitar and does vocals. He has been playing guitar for almost 2 years. From the time he was only 5 years old, he would pick the guitar at church services. Jonah and Grayson credit the Lord for their playing and singing talent. Their dad, Benjie Riddle, plays the upright bass. The Riddles are bringing along an outstanding fiddle player – Mary Rachel Nalley – who plays fiddle for the Kody Norris Band.

Tyler Williams Band to Carter Family Fold Saturday

Tyler WilliamsSaturday, January 30th, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. the Carter Family Fold in Hiltons, Virginia, will present a concert of bluegrass music by the Tyler Williams Band. Tyler Williams grew up in Ohio and moved to Johnson City, Tennessee, to study bluegrass music. Tyler is blind and has cerebral palsy, but he has never let that hold him back. His interest in music began when he was just a year old. His first instrument was a keyboard his grandfather gave him, and he was playing it by age four. At age five, Tyler started taking classical piano lessons by ear.
