Historic Jonesborough Bluegrass Series Announces 2012 Season

Historic JonesboroughJonesborough, TN -- Bluegrass music greats JD Crowe and The New South, Brandon Rickman, The Gibson Brothers, Mark Newton's Stillhouse Band, The Roys, Larry Stephenson Band, Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice, Lorraine Jordan and Carolina Road, and The Boxcars headline the events at the Historic Jonesborough Visitor Center. A portion of the proceeds in 2012 will benefit The Lyric Frizzell Foundation.

The Roys and PBS StarsNashville, TN (January 17, 2012) - Hot Bluegrass duo, The Roys, recently taped a PBS Special celebrating the music of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Lee and Elaine Roy joined Randy Travis, Ronnie Milsap and numerous other stars for the event, which raised the rafters of the Loveless Barn outside of Nashville last week. 'Trailblazer' Music Video and Radio Single Released by The Roys Today

The RoysNashville, TN -- Rural Rhythm Records is proud to announce the new music video and radio single release of "Trailblazer" by bluegrass duo, The Roys. The song is currently on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart and appears on their album, Lonesome Whistle which debuted at #7 on the Billboard Bluegrass Album Chart. Bob Cherry of Cybergrass says, "The Roys are simply amazing!! They seem to be doing everything the right way and completely. This latest video reflects that philosophy."

The Roys and Vietti Foods Extend 'Vietti Vinyl' Campaign To 'Family Style Beef Stew'

The Roys, Philip M. Connelly Nashville, TN -- The award-winning brother/sister bluegrass music duo, The Roys, will join Vietti Foods to extend the Vietti Vinyl campaign, with the duo's image appearing on 500,000 cans of the brand's Family Style Beef Stew in Family Dollar stores in 25 states throughout 2012. The Roys are the first artists to grace the Beef Stew can labels; Vietti Chili line participants include: Chris Young, Bo Bice, The Isaacs, John Corbett and Riders In The Sky. The Vietti Vinyl initiative gives voice to musicians, and gives consumers a chance to spice up their music collection, sample new sounds and videos.

32nd Annual Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver Bluegrass Festival Performers Announced

Doyle Lawson & QuicksilverOne of America's favorite and talented bluegrass music festivals is scheduled for May 10 through 12, 2012. It is time for the 32nd Annual Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver Bluegrass Festival which will be held from 12Noon-11pm at the Denton Farm Park, 1072 Cranford Road, Denton, NC. The 2012 festival will, as usual, feature some of the hottest bluegrass artists performing today.

The Roys Sign Deal for New Music-Driven Television Variety Show

The RoysBluegrass music dynamos, The Roys, have signed a production deal with ValCom Studios for a new, weekly music-driven variety show. Lee and Elaine Roy will appear and perform on the 30-minute show titled, Roots And Music With The Roys, with the inaugural 13 episodes to be taped in Nashville early next year. The show has already been picked up by over 120 stations nationwide, landing The Roys a potential 40 million cable and broadcast household viewers. Vince Vellardita, CEO-President of ValCom Studios says, "Elaine and Lee are incredibly talented. There are no shows on the air like this one, and it's the perfect vehicle to expand The Roys' career."

The Roys Named Inspirational Bluegrass Artist of the Year

The RoysNashville, TN -- The Roys were named Inspirational Bluegrass Artist of the Year during tonight's 17th Annual ICM Faith, Family & Country Awards show. Siblings Lee and Elaine performed "That's What Makes It Love," with special guests Ricky Skaggs and The Whites, before a sold-out crowd. The song is from The Roys' current CD, Lonesome Whistle, which was recorded at Skaggs Place Studio and released in March on Rural Rhythm Records. The Awards show was held at Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and co-hosted by GAC-TV's Storme Warren and Inside Edition's Megan Alexander.

Catch The Roys' Impromptu Appearance On RFD-TV's Larry's Country Diner TONIGHT

The Roys on stageNashville, TN (October 26, 2011) -- Lee and Elaine Roy were spotted on the set during an August taping of Larry's Country Diner, and show host Larry Black invited them to perform. "It was totally unexpected," laughs Elaine Roy. "We were really lucky our fiddle player Clint White happened to be with us." Leona Williams was the show's featured guest that day, but the grand lady of Country graciously made way for the Bluegrass/Roots duo.
