The Spinney Brothers Tour Their Country, Canada

The Spinney BrothersIt may not seem like a big deal that The Spinney Brothers, who live in Canada, are promoting a Canadian tour. But for a band that spends 75% of their lives touring the U.S., well, it really is a big deal to stay in their home country for a change! They'll be embarking on an 11-day trek that will take them through an extensive tour of the Province of Ontario as part of the winter concert series produced by the Northern Bluegrass Committee. The tour runs March 13th through 23rd.

The Spinney Brothers Release Single from "No Borders" Album

No BordersWillis, VA -- IBMA Emerging Artists of the Year nominees, The Spinney Brothers, continue riding high on the success of their new album No Borders, with the release of the second single from the album titled "I Wish That I Would Have Met Carter," today. Released on Mountain Fever Records, the song was penned by legendary songwriting duo Tom T. and Dixie Hall.

Song of the Mountain November 3rd Taping was Excellent Show

Lonesome River Band at 30Song of the Mountain had a fantastic concert taping at the Lincoln Theatre last Saturday evening. It was great to have the award winning bluegrass music group Lonesome River Band return to the show. They have not been on the program since our first season in 2005. Sammy Shelor who plays banjo with the Lonesome River Band was last year's recipient of the "Steve Martin Award for Excellence in Banjo & Bluegrass" which included a $50,000.00 monetary prize.

Bluegrass Cruise Set For January 2013 - The Roys Invite Fans Aboard

The RoysNashville, TN -- Reigning ICM Inspirational Bluegrass Artist of the Year, The Roys, invite their fans to join them for Danny Stewart's Bluegrass Cruise aboard Carnival Cruise Line's Sensation January 20-24. The spectacular vessel departs Port Canaveral, Florida for two, four-night Bluegrass sailings January 20-24 and January 27-31, but The Roys will entertain during the first sailing only. Ports of call include the exciting islands of Freeport and Nassau; the current, "Early Bird" price of $499 per person (based upon double cabin occupancy) is valid through April 3, but bookings will continue at varied prices. The cost includes luxurious shipboard accommodations and all food and beverages except for carbonated and alcoholic drinks.
