17th Suwanee Springfest Announces Lineup

Springfest 2013The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida will again host their 17th annual Springfest consisting of 4 days of music and camping with some of the best in bluegrass and Americana music. The festival has been continuously produced at North Florida's Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park near the farming town of Live Oak. Well-known and highly-regarded among discerning fans & media, the event consistently features some of the world's finest performers in New & Traditional Folk, Roots Rock, Bluegrass & Newgrass, Singer/Songwriter, Acoustic Blues, Cajun/Zydeco, and other forms of American Roots music. Those musical sub-genres are now collectively referred to as Americana music, a style growing rapidly in acceptance & popularity which generally incorporates respect for & recognition of traditional music forms presented through a completely contemporary framework & approach. The lineup for the March 2013 Springfest is listed below.

Suwanee SpringfestLive Oak, FL -- Known for consistently booking some of the finest performers in new and traditional folk, roots rock, bluegrass and newgrass, and other American roots music, Suwannee Springfest returns in 2013 for its 17th straight year. Suwannee Springest will be held March 21-24, 2013 at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida and features some of the biggest names in the scene with veterans and up-and-comers alike. Peter Rowan, Keller and the Keels, Leftover Salmon, Donna the Buffalo, The Travelin' McCourys, Jim Lauderdale, The Mosier brothers, Elephant Revival, Red Baraat, Spirit Family Reunion, Shane Pruitt Band, Applebutter Express, Grandpa's Cough Medicine, the Weatherman, and more. Many artists will be performing multiple sets too.

Bluegrass Music Artists Support Suwannee Valley Flood Jam

Flood JamLive Oak, FL -- The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park and the promoters who do Springfest, Magnolia Fest, Bear Creek Music & Arts Festival and Blackwater Music Festival have started the Suwannee Music Foundation, a not-for-profit to help the flood victims of Suwannee Valley in Suwannee, columbia and Hamilton Counties.

The festival features four outstanding days of bluegrass, acoustic and Americana roots music from Yonder Mountain String Band, Donna The Buffalo, Tony Rice, Greensky Bluegrass, Justin Townes Earle, Emmitt-Nershi Band, Hot Buttered Rum, Guy Clark, Verlon Thompson, The Gourds, Darol Anger & The Republic of Strings, Jim Lauderdale, and many more. Of course, there's always enough camping and jamming to go around for those who come to pick.
