Larry Cordle to be Inducted to Kentucky Music Hall of Fame

Larry CordleOne of bluegrass music's favorite songwriters and performers, Larry Cordle, is scheduled to be inducted into the 2015 Kentucky Music Hall of Fame Class. Born and raised on a small family farm in eastern Kentucky, Larry has written for a wide variety of artists from country to bluegrass and most styles in between. His song, "Murder on Music Row" won the CMA Song of the Year in 2000 and was recorded by Country music's George Strait. Known in bluegrass circles with his band Lonesome Standard Time, the Grammy nominated group has performed for almost a quarter century. His latest album, Pud Marcum's Hangin' has received rave reviews.

Kentucky Music Hall of Fame 2013 Inductees Named

Emory MartinTuesday, Robert Lawson, executive director for the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum announced the names of the 2013 Hall of Fame inductees. The latest inductees will be Steven Curtis Chapman, The Kentucky Headhunters, Exile, Skeeter Davis, The Hilltoppers, Old Joe Clark and Emory & Linda Martin. The inductees are all Kentucky artists who are honored for their contribution to the music of Kentucky.
