Mike Scott's Bluegrass Music Submitted for Two Dove Awards

Take Me Lord And Use MeRural Rhythm Christian Records has submitted Mike Scott's project Take Me Lord and Use Me for two Dove Award nominations. One submission is for the project and the second is for Gospel Song, “Take Me Lord and Use Me.” For over 50 years, Rural Rhythm has produced and distributed hundreds of classic performances by many of the legends of bluegrass and old-time country music such as Mac Wiseman, Don Reno, Red Smiley, The Kentucky Colonels, Clarence White, Doug Dillard, Hylo Brown, Vassar Clements, Bill Harrell, Raymond Fairchild, Jim Eanes, Curly Fox, J.E. Mainer, Tater Tate, and now, Mike Scott.

Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme's album, 'Prime Time Breaks Radio Chart Record

Prime TymeRural Rhythm Records is extremely proud to announce Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out hit #1 on Bluegrass Music Profiles Magazine's (BMP) Top 10 Album Chart this month with Prime Tyme. The band also broke a new record with an incredible four singles from this album appearing on the BMP Top 30 Hot Singles chart. This is the first time ever the monthly chart includes that many singles from the same artist during the same month. The songs include: #2 "If Your Heart Should Ever Roll This Way Again"; #3 "Old Kentucky Farmers"; #20 "Gonna Lay Down My Old Guitar"; and #27 "Pretty Little Girl From Galax".

Back To My RootsJust in time for Bill Monroe's birthday, the new single release, "A Light in My Window, Again" by Carolina Road, is now out to radio via The song was written by Tom T and Dixie Hall and was inspired by Gov. Paul E. Patton's speech at the dedication of the Bill Monroe home place. The tune appears on the band's upcoming album, Back to my Roots releasing October 11, 2011. Carolina Road, with eight albums to their credit, has certainly returned to their traditional style of music created over a decade ago with this new project.

Rodney Dillard to be Inducted into Missouri Music Association Hall of Fame

The DillardsRural Rhythm Records is proud to announce that Rodney Dillard was inducted into the Missouri Music Association's new Hall of Fame when the organization honored its three premier inductees in the bluegrass genre: The Dillards, John Hartford and Charlie Wolfe. This new Hall of Fame will recognize Missouri talent from all genres of music and will collaborate with other music organizations within the state of Missouri, and elsewhere, to provide a central database of Missouri talent. Initially, the Hall of Fame will include talent that has already been recognized by other Halls of Fame based on their individual music genre. All three of these new inductees are currently members of the International Bluegrass Hall of Fame.
