Swingin' Around the Christmas TreeHalifax, NS – 30 November 2012 – (MG MUSIC) Recent Music Nova Scotia award winners The Modern Grass hit the road this month with over 10 dates around Nova Scotia in support of their third Holiday Album, Swingin’ Around the Christmas Tree - Vol. 3. Join the Modern Grass and south shore singer-songwriter sensation, Jennah Barry on Sunday, December 9 for the official Halifax CD release. The concert will feature original sets, holiday songs and stories and musical collaborations. The show will be recorded by the CBC and aired on Atlantic Airwaves on December 22.

 High on the MountainHalifax, NS, Canada -- The Modern Grass, one of the most promising young groups of musicians to come out of the maritimes, launches a two-month stretch of dates from St. John’s, Newfoundland to Whitehorse, Yukon and everywhere in between. Halifax string band The Modern Grass embarks on a nationwide tour following a warm-up tour of Newfoundland. The dates are in conjunction with MG Music's latest release, High on the Mountain.

The Modern Grass Announce 'High on the Mountain' for May Release

The Modern GrassThe Modern Grass is excited to announce the recording of their second bluegrass music album, High on the Mountain, to be released in May. The album will be recorded this spring at CBC’s Studio H in Halifax, Nova Scotia. with engineer/producer Karl Falkenham. That band wants to give you behind the scenes access to the production and development of our album through video updates, new recordings, and our monthly newsletter.
