Bluegrass Circle Promotions Announces National Promoters Alliance

Bluegrass Circle Promotions, Inc.Raleigh, North Carolina: Five prominent business people have forged an alliance to co-promote several bluegrass festivals in the Southeastern United States. Cory Hemilright, Lorraine Jordan, John Locust, Don Mitchell and Tim White recently formed the group and will serve as the officers of the organization. Bluegrass Circle Promotions will manage several events including Bluegrass Christmas In the Smokies, Shiners in the Smokies Festival, The Outer Banks Bluegrass Festival, Bluegrass in Cherokee and the newly created, Song of the Mountains Bluegrass Festival.

Henderson School of Appalachian Arts, unveiled “Marion’s Musical Heritage Mural” canvas on Thursday, September 5th on stage at the historic Lincoln Theatre in downtown Marion, Virginia. The unusual-shaped canvas measures approximately two and a half feet by eight feet, and is scaled proportionate to the Virginia Sweetwater Distillery Building’s western wall in the heart of historic downtown Marion where the design will be painted on the structure in the summer of 2014.

Tim's music has gained a strong following throughout the region, and he’s fronted several bands over the past two decades - including Troublesome Hollow, the Beagles, and the VW Boys. Saturday, January 26th, 2013, at 7:30 p.m., the Carter Family Fold in Hiltons, Virginia, will present a concert of bluegrass music by the Tim White and the VW Boys. Admission to the concert is $8 for adults, $1 for children 6 to 11, under age 6 free.
