Grammy nominees Jeff & Sheri Easter return to the studio to work on a new CD. The award-winning couple is working this week at Ocean Way studio in Nashville. "We are so excited to be creating some new music," Sheri said. "We are working with some of Nashville's finest musicians." The couple is producing along with Greg Cole and for the first time their son Madison joins the production team. Madison debuted as a co-producer for his sister Morgan Easter's "Not Without Love" released last November.

The Marathon Jam is a 12-hour annual jam started in Chapel Hill, N.C. to raise funds for the Fisher House Foundation and honor our military. Primarily of bluegrass music, the "Mostly Bluegrass" Marathon Jam takes place on Saturday Feb 25th 2012, with jams from across the United States and in Baghdad Iraq, Afghanistan and possibly Germany. This is the 9th year for the Marathon Jam. The concert is named in memory of the late Leon Kiser who was bandleader of his group the Holston Mountain Boys for over thirty years. Kiser was also a local legend who not only performed bluegrass music but also was a promoter of the music as well in the regions of East Tennessee and Southwestern Virginia. Three months ago, Johnny Williams left the group to form a new group with his wife Jeanette Williams, and Scott Freeman. The new group is called Freeman & Williams and they've recently released a new CD. Now another long-time member has decided to move on. Jeff Michael has now left the group to persue other interests.
