Martinsburg, WV -- Bluegrass band Circa Blue has released their self-titled debut album, featuring a number of originals, as well as the band's own unique spin on some traditional favorites. "This album is the result of hard work and a lot of heart," said Steve Harris, vocalist/guitarist for the band. One of these people is bluegrass/country musician Phil Leadbetter, he has been helping folks throughout his life as in his earlier years he was a trained head injury rehabilitation nurse. Phil,who left the nursing field and followed his life long dream to become a musician, has backed such artists as the late Grandpa Jones and Vern Gosdin. Uncle Phil, as he is affectionately known, has also been a member of J.D. Crowe & The New South, Wildfire and the group, Grasstowne and who of late was performing with The Whites,an American country music group.

Bluegrass and Gospel legend Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver have announced a new gospel album to be released soon. Sing Me a Song About Jesus consists of eleven tracks of that great Doyle Lawson sound. The album has a March 20 release date scheduled.

He has had a successful solo career and also fronts his own quintet, The Tony Rice Unit. Together, they have toured as the Peter Rowan & Tony Rice Quartet, which ultimately produced two Rounder Records recordings. This package, Rowan & Rice performing the traditional sounds of Bill Monroe with The Travelin' McCourys, is of historic proportion.

This year, Mike Snider will be presented the 2012 Heritage Award and bluegrass banjo legend, J.D. Crowe will receive the honored 2012 Trailblazer award.
