Top Ten Reasons You Should Attend DelFest 2012!

DelFest 2012Warm summer sun and the sweet sounds of bluegrass are just a few months away! If you haven't yet purchased your tickets, please note that our first discount deadline is Monday, January 30th. A limited number of adult 4-day passes are still available for $120 through Monday or while the quantity lasts. Adult 3-day passes, Teen passes, Kids 3-day and 4-day passes, DELuxe Experience Packages, RV passes and on-site parking passes will all remain at their current price levels. On-site camping is included in the price of your multiple-day DelFest pass. Be an early bird and save money!

The DelFest band competition has become a popular fixture at the festival and we're happy to bring it back in 2012! The band finishing in first place will receive a short slot on the Grandstand Stage at this year's DelFest, a cash prize, and an exposure slot at the 2013 DelFest. We are currently accepting electronic submissions for the competition via the online submission form available on our website. The application period will end on Friday, February 10th at which point the online form will be removed. We're pleased to once again offer DelFest Academy prior to the festival - May 21 through May 24. The academy consists of a friendly, encouraging, and intensive three-day learning experience hosted by The Travelin' McCourys. Instruction is available for guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, and bass and class sizes will be limited to 20 students per instrument to allow for plenty of personalized interaction. Don't miss the unique opportunity to study with your musical heroes!
