Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

Flatt & Scruggs Tribute BandOne of bluegrass banjo artist Bill Evans' projects that he's involved with in northern California is something called the Flatt and Scruggs Tribute Band. Featuring many of our region's best traditional musicians, they present an evening of music from Lester & Earl, dressed in hats & ties and have a whole lot of fun playing this great repertoire of songs. For more info on this band, visit FlattAndScruggs.us. See video below.

This coming weekend, January 6 to 8, the Tribute Band will be playing three concerts in northern California with special bluegrass guests Don Rigsby and Kathy Kallick. Friday night's concert from the Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse in Berkeley, CA will be broadcast live beginning at 8 p.m. Pacific Time by Concert Window. Concert Window features live folk performances with HD video and stereo sound from all around the country, including Club Passim in Cambridge, MA; Tupelo Music Hall in Londonderry, NH and the Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse here in Berkeley. Check them out at ConcertWindow.com

Bill says, "For full details of our three live shows in Berkeley (Friday), Livermore (Saturday) and Sacramento (Sunday afternoon), visit my homepage at www.billevansbanjo.com and wherever you live around the world, I hope you'll consider joining us on Friday night - admission is only $3!" height=allowFullScreen
