C.W. MundyNashville, TN -- Renowned impressionist painter, C.W. Mundy, whose debut CD, Road Trip, garnered rave reviews in both the art and music worlds, recently headlined his first show at the world famous Station Inn in Nashville, TN. The packed house proved that his decision to delve back into the music world while in the midst of an incredibly successful art career was definitely a move that did not go unnoticed. Mundy's style is a unique blend of bluegrass, swing, jazz, and Americana, with a bit of disco beat thrown in.

"To have the opportunity to play my music at the Station Inn with such great players was the thrill of a lifetime!" exclaims the artist, an Indianapolis native.

Billed as C.W. Mundy and Friends, his band for the night included Grammy®-winning producer/artist Randy Kohrs on resonator guitar, fiddler Jim Van Cleve (Mountain Heart), guitarist Stephen Mougin (Sam Bush Band), drummer Bryon Larrance (John Cowan Band), bassist Gage Boecker, cellist/violist Eamon McLoughlin (Josh Turner), and Steve Thomas (Crowe Brothers) on mandolin. Throughout the course of the show, Mundy brought up guest vocalists Alice Vestal, who also lends her talents on Road Trip, and Jim Photoglo of Run C&W Fame.

A few video clips of his show at the Station Inn are available at www.youtube.com/cwmundymusic.

Not to let one creative aspect be outdone by the other, in the world of fine art, Mundy currently has a painting included in an exclusive exhibit by the American Society of Marine Art, which will be shown in eight museums across the country through 2013. During that time, he will be conducting numerous workshops nationwide, beginning in Fredericksburg, TX, on January 9, 2012.
