Deer Creek Boys Join Mountain Fever Records

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version
Deer Creek BoysWhile attending SPBGMA in Nashville last week, Mountain Fever Records had the great pleasure of signing the Deer Creek Boys to their roster! This great band formed in 1999 when two brothers and a childhood friend starting picking and writing together in Amherst County, Virginia. But the past few years have seen them inactive with original members Justin Tomlin spending a few years playing guitar for Nothin Fancy, and his brother Jason on bass with Junior Sisk.

Both recently resigned their positions to put the old band back together, with Cason Ogden on mandolin. North Carolina banjo picker Andy Lowe has joined the founding members to create a very aggressive, hard-charging sound that retains the structure of traditional bluegrass but with an energy and passion that is the essence of youth and vitality.

The group has just recently decided to start booking dates again, and banjoist Andy Lowe and Dobro extraordinaire Caleb Cox have since come aboard to create quite an energetic and driving sound. The Deer Creek Boys are sure to offer you an incredible selection of original and traditional bluegrass music!

Their new album, What Goes Up will be released later this summer with the first single hitting radio next week!
