Sweden's Downhill Bluegrass BandThe featured IAMA (International Acoustic Music Awards) acoustic music artists of the month are: Downhill Bluegrass Band (from Sweden), John Floridis and Susan Cattaneo. From Sweden, the Downhill Bluegrass Band is one of Europe’s most prestigious, well known and highly regarded bluegrass bands.

John Floridis is a virtuoso guitarist and composer from Missoula, Montana. His most recent recording is “Live From 11th and Grant”, the soundtrack from his Northwest Emmy award winning performance for the program of the same name produced on Montana PBS.

Susan Cattaneo, a Boston based Americana singer-songwriter, she is also on the faculty of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, home to the "who's who" in music today.

Established in 2004 and in it's landmark 12th year, IAMA (International Acoustic Music Awards) promotes the art and excellence in acoustic music performance and artistry. Judging is based on excellence in music performance, songwriting/composition and originality. Winners are selected by a panel of established artists and industry professionals.

Other past winners include: Meghan Trainor (#1 Hit on Billboard Hot 100 Charts), Carl Wockner (2015 Top winner, from Australia), Kelley James (2014 Winner), AJ Croce (2013 Winner), Maddy Rodriguez (2012 Winner), David Francey (2011 Winner), Liz Longley (2010 Winner), The Refugees (2009 Winner), UK singer-songwriter Charlie Dore (2008 winner & #1 Hit on Billboard Charts).
