Cindy Baucom to MC Randy’s Pickin’ Parlor LIVE Bluegrass Event

Cindy BaucomClermont, FL -- Cindy Baucom, award-winning broadcast personality, producer, musician, singer, writer and lifelong promoter of Bluegrass Music will serve as Master of Ceremonies for Randy’s Pickin’ Parlor LIVE! Scheduled for October 24, 2015, the bluegrass festival is part of the inaugural season of Clermont Performing Arts Center, located 22 miles from Disney World.

Randy’s Pickin’ Parlor LIVE will showcase: The Gibson Brothers, Blue Highway, Balsam Range, The Mark Johnson and Emory Lester Trio and The Scott Anderson Band. Cindy’s love of bluegrass began in childhood and has endured for more than thirty years. She inherited her lifelong passion for the bluegrass tradition from her father, Jim Brooks, who, in addition to building stringed instruments, played banjo, fiddle, guitar and mandolin. Her broadcast career began as a teenager in North Carolina. Today, Cindy’s radio show, “Knee-Deep in Bluegrass” is syndicated to over a hundred radio markets nationwide.

Named “Broadcaster of the Year” by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2005, Cindy served as producer for the 2008, 2009 and 2010 IBMA Awards and has been actively involved with MerleFest, North Carolina’s celebrated festival of “traditional plus” music, since its beginning in 1988.

According to famed luthier Randy Wood, “Cindy Baucom is one of the best known women in bluegrass. It’s an honor and a pleasure to have her join us for this event.”
