Brandywine Friends of Old Time Music Presents Bluegrass and Roots Concerts

Frank Solivan & Dirty KitchenBrandywine Friends of Old Time Music (BFOTM) have announced a new round of concerts that will definitely warm up the fall and winter season. The series kicks off with Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen follwed by Joe Herrmann & David McLaughlin, Dan Paisley & the Southern Grass, BeauSoleil and Marcia Ball, Robin & Linda Williams and Their Fine Group, and a Tribute to Bill Monroe featuring Peter Rowan, Tony Rice and the Travelin' McCourys. Now, that's a hot list of entertainment.

Friday, October 21, 8 p.m. at the Unitarian Fellowship Hall, 420 Willa Road, Newark, Del. 19711 BFOTM presents Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen. After six years with the U.S. Navy’s elite bluegrass band Country Current, Frank Solivan, master fiddler and mandolin-player, is out on his own with signature passion and precision. His Washington D.C.-based Dirty Kitchen includes Mike Munford on banjo, Stefan Custodi on bass, and Lincoln Meyers on guitar.

Friday, November 18, 8 p.m. at the Unitarian Fellowship Hall, 420 Willa Road, Newark, Del. 19711 you'll be entertained by Joe Herrmann & David McLaughlin. David McLaughlin (Johnson Mountain Boys) and Joe Herrmann (Critton Hollow String Band) play music from the bluegrass and old-time traditions and contemporary sources: songs that can make you laugh or cry, ballads that tell stories of bad men and disappointed lovers, and instrumentals that will make you want to get up and dance.

Dan Paisley & the Southern Grass will be performing Friday, December 9, 8 p.m. at the Unitarian Fellowship Hall, 420 Willa Road, Newark, Del. 19711. Danny Paisley and the Southern Grass play powerful, unadorned, and intense traditional bluegrass.
There is no hybrid or genre-bending music here. Their combination of instrumentation and vocals convey
