Bluegrass BrigadeSPBGMA, the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America, will host their 38th Annual Bluegrass America Showcase of Bands at the NEMO Fairgrounds in Kirksville, Missouri on October 13-16. The four-day showcase will feature bands from four states. There is camping and plenty of jamming available.

The bands which will be performing throughout the showcase include Bluegrass Brigade, Grass Roots Revival, Lindley Creek, Lost Hill Bluegrass, Misty Mountain Revival, New Heir Bluegrass, Southern Reign, The Bluegrass Blondies, The Ophoven Family, The Punches Family, and Truman’s Ridge. Guest bands are always welcome.

Admission on Thursday is just $10, Friday $15, Saturday is $20 and an entire 4 day pass is available for just $35. There aren't many places that offer four full days of entertainment for less than $10 a day so this is a real bargain for bluegrass fans.

There are plenty of accomodations in the area and camping features new restrooms & showers in the campground. Hook-ups, including electricty are just $7 per night and a good family run food concession is available that also serves breakfast.

The program begins late in the day and runs until after 10 PM each evening. For more information contact SPBGMA c/o Chuck Stearman, P.O. Box 271, Kirksville, MO 63501 or call 660-665-7172 or email spbgma@kvmo.net
