Detour Joins Sam Bush, Others at Music City Roots Aug 13

Detour Bluegrass BandNashville, TN -- Detour bluegrass band is proud to announce they will perform Wednesday, August 13 at 7:00 p.m. at Music City Roots - Nashville's acclaimed Roots and Americana variety show hosted by Jim Lauderdale. This live concert event, featuring Sam Bush, Detour, Balsam Range and Becky Buller, will be webcast nationwide at or via the new Livestream app for phones and tablets. Fans can also tune in to Hippie Radio 94.5 FM in Nashville. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at

This highly anticipated concert will follow the International Bluegrass Music Association’s press conference where the 2014 IBMA Award Nominees will be announced.

Detour has celebrated significant chart success with their Mountain Fever Records’ album GOING NOWHERE FAST that includes the #1 Bluegrass Today chart single (July 2014) “Too Blue To Have The Blues.” The song, written by Jeff Rose and Terry Herd, is currently #2 on the Bluegrass Today Top 20 Monthly Song Chart and #5 on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Top 20.

Music City Roots fans will certainly be impressed by the outstanding talents of Missy Armstrong (Lead Vocals & Guitar), Peter Knupfer (Violin), Scott Zystra (Guitar & Vocals), Jeff Rose (Mandolin & Vocals), Lloyd Douglas (Banjo), and Jeremy Darrow (Bass).
