Darrell Webb Band Welcomes Brandon Green on Banjo

Brandon Green2012 MerleFest Instrumental Champion Brandon Green (Banjo) from Johnson City, Tennessee, who is a lecturer on the faculty of the Bluegrass, Old Time & Country Music program at ETSU will be joining the Darrell Webb Band.

Darrell Webb says, "So lucky to have this guy in The DWB what a true gentleman and monster player!!"

Brandon, a West Virginia native, is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. He has played on and produced numerous albums. Brandon has toured extensively with bluegrass bands throughout the U.S. and Canada, as well as internationally in Ireland, Holland, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland.

He was a member of the Abrams Brothers for three years and has been a guest performer with artists such as Bill Keith, Jesse McReynolds & The Isaacs. At Concord University in West Virginia, Brandon earned a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (Music/Business), focusing on a study of classical music on the five string banjo.

Darrell Webb is a Grammy nominated session musician as well as an IBMA and SPBGMA award winner. He has recorded with Dolly Parton, Bobby Hicks, Marty Rabon and the queen of bluegrass Rhonda Vincent. His 20 year career includes performing with legendary banjo pioneer J.D. Crowe and the Lonesome River Band. Darrell has appearing on stage with Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley, Dierks Bentley, Doyle Lawson, and Ken Mellons.

Brandon will be replacing David Carroll in the band.
