The GrascalsNashville, TN -- One of the most awarded bands in Bluegrass, The Grascals, will appear on the world famous Grand Ole Opry Saturday, November 2, when they join Terri Clark, Deana Carter, John Conlee, Jeannie Seely and others for the Opry At The Ryman show. The Grascals will appear on the 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. segments of the show. More information can be found at www.opry.com. Out-of-area fans can enjoy the show via live broadcast at www.wsmonline.com.

The Grascals have made more than 130 appearances on the world renowned stage of the Grand Ole Opry, but it never gets old for these pickin’ and harmonizin’ troubadours.

“There is always a very special thrill about walking out onto that stage where legends have stood,” says 4-time Banjo Player of the Year winner, Kristin Scott Benson. “It’s always good to have a few butterflies before a performance, but something about that hallowed ground of the Opry definitely takes it up a notch.”

“We just really love the American Pickers TV show, so it was a thrill to meet and get to know Mike,” Jamie says. “I told him we’d like to write a song for him and he thought that was a pretty cool idea. The song and video have been such fun for all of us, including Dierks and Mike, and now we’re happy to share it with fans.”

When I Get My PayThe music video was shot on location during The Grascals’ Riverstage appearance at the 2013 CMA Music Festival in Nashville and at the Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, TN.

The three-time Grammy nominated band has already released the companion video for one song on the album which can be viewed on Cybergrass at The Grascals Release "American Picker" Video. “American Pickers” was penned by Jamie Johnson, Susanne Mumpower Johnson and Jeffrey East after members of The Grascals met and became friends with Mike Wolfe of the hit History Channel television show, American Pickers. Country superstar and Grascals’ pal, Dierks Bentley, lends his vocals to the album cut and appears in the music video, along with Wolfe.

The reigning SPBGMA Instrumental Group of the Year will release their 8th album, When I Get My Pay on Mountain Home Music November 19th. The companion music video for one of the album cuts, “American Pickers,” is available now. The song was written by Jamie Johnson of The Grascals, along with Susanne Mumpower Johnson and Jeffrey East, after The Grascals met and became friends with Mike Wolfe of the hit History Channel show of the same name. Another Grascals’ pal, Country superstar, Dierks Bentley, lends his vocals to the album track.
