The Gospel Side of Dailey & VincentThe 44th Annual Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, hosted by Amy Grant and Kirk Franklin, returned to Nashville, Tennessee. Just as the IBMA moved their awards show to Raleigh, North Carolina, the GMA returns to the music city. For more than four decades, the GMA Dove Awards has honored outstanding achievements and excellence in Gospel music. The most anticipated music event of the year for fans and industry alike, the show celebrates our rich musical diversity. Awards are presented to individuals representing modern Rock, Rap/Hip Hop, Pop/Contemporary, Inspirational, Urban, Southern Gospel, Bluegrass, Country, Praise and Worship and more!

This year's awards saw significant changes including the removal of the Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, and Group of the Year categories from the voting process. These three categories were added: Contemporary Christian Performance of the Year, Southern Gospel Performance of the Year, and Gospel Performance of the Year. A film category for Inspirational Film of the Year was also added.

Several highlights of the evening included touching tributes by Michael W. Smith and the Newsboys to Billy Graham. Talented vocalists Karen Peck, Daily & Vincent, Signature Sound and the Isaacs honored the Gaither Vocal Band in a stunning collaboration of “He Touched Me.”
