Owned and operated by Larry & Kathleen Crocker, the farm has evolved from a horse farm into a pasture based farrow to finish pork operation with the beef production at a family member’s farm located on their century old family farm in Catawba county.

Livestock on both farms are raised naturally on pasture and never confined their entire lives. Supplemental feed sources are free choice, all vegetarian, antibiotic & preservative free and contain no added growth hormones of any kind.

This method of livestock husbandry not only produces a meat product that is healthier and leaner than conventional commercially grown livestock but is believed to be the ethically humane choice for the farm’s owners.

Vandele Farms on Cedar Creek’ desire in hosting this event is to have a family oriented, fun day that will increase a sense of community & promote ’farm to fork’ type local economy. In Connecting local businesses and local farmers with the local public in this environment, there is opportunity for education of sustainable farming techniques, naturally humanely raising livestock practices and awareness of businesses who contribute to and support a sustainable, ecologically mindset.

That being said, any local area business is welcome to show their support with a sponsorship. There are many options available in this regard, and sponsorship can be as simple as posting a banner or sponsoring a workshop. Major sponsors can be recognized in the promotional media along with logo placement on the event tee shirts. All sponsors will be mentioned the day of the event over the MC and will be included on the sponsors roster that will be posted onsite the day of the event.
