ROMP Bluegrass Music Festival to Feature Premier Acts

Romp LineupThe International Bluegrass Music Museum is proud to announce the line-up for the epic 10th Anniversary of ROMP. An international event, ROMP features legendary, traditional bluegrass alongside the far-flung roots and branches of bluegrass music. Rather than being a strictly bluegrass festival, it is a festival held strictly in support of the Bluegrass Museum.

ROMP 2013 features Merle Haggard, David Grisman Sextet, The Del McCoury Band, Doyle Lawson & Quicksliver, Sam Bush Band, Punch Brothers, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Leftover Salmon, The Deadly Gentlemen, The SteelDrivers, Scythian, Della Mae, G2, Town Mountain, Lost Bayou Ramblers, David Wax Museum, Ten String Symphony, Goodwill, Professors of Bluegrass, Spinney Brothers, Renegade String Band, The Giving Tree Band, Kings Highway, Faubush Hill, Arnold Shultz Revival, and the Kentucky BlueGrass AllStars.

Every person over the age of 12 who is spending the night at ROMP must purchase a $10 camping ticket. To purchase your camping ticket, click here. Whether you are camping one night or four, camping is a flat rate fee of $10 per person. Campers can arrive as early as 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26.

The annual 3-day event is held at Yellow Creek Park. Throughout the festival one can enjoy workshops, jamming, children's activities, and all-night After Parties. Arts and crafts artisans make the festival grounds visually beautiful with handmade clothing, jewelry, toys, instruments and artwork for sale. Owensboro's best chefs are routinely joined by other creative food vendors, providing a wide variety of culinary offerings. Festivalgoers can enjoy all the amenities of Yellow Creek Park, such as a spray park, fishing lake, tennis, volleyball, children's playgrounds and nature trails. Festival attendees can ride the shuttle to visit the International Bluegrass Music Museum in downtown Owensboro. Your ROMP wristband gets you in free to the museum. Visit Owensboro's gorgeous new waterfront district.
